An Archipelago Weekend in the Old Raahe and the Archipelago

Wake up your senses to enjoy the sea, nature, peace and archipelago atmosphere. Experience the life of a 19th century archipelago pilot and the atmosphere of the Old Raahe merchant family mansion in authentic, original venues! You can feel the sea, its aromas and flavours while paddling and on an island cruise. An evening in the archipelago is spent in the gentle steam of the outdoor sauna and admiring the sea. The old lighthouse on the island of Iso-Kraaseli and the old pilot house date back to the 19th century; here is where you will spend your first night. In the Old Raahe, you will stay at the historical Trade House of Lang. You will enjoy a delicious dinner in an authentic, historical setting. On the third day, we will paddle out to the sea. The sheltered Raahe archipelago is an easy and safe paddling destination.

We will travel to the island of Iso-Kraaseli by boat for the first night. On the second day, we cruise enjoying the archipelago landscape and feel the splash of salt water. At the end of the cruise, we return to the mainland and stay overnight at the Trade House of Lang boutique hotel. The third day is planned for a three-hour kayaking trip in the nearby waters. You don’t need to have previous kayaking experience to participate, an adventurous mind and a water-fearless attitude is enough. On this trip, you will also eat well, whether your meal is set in the salon or on a cliff in the archipelago.
