Welcome to The Trade House of Lang

Stories and experiences from the age of sailing ships

Book a unique place to stay in the heart of old Raahe

Lang’s cafe and lunch: Enjoy a cup of coffee and a delicious pastry, or tasty homemade lunch!

At the Tradehouse of Lang, we bake and cool all the delicacies ourselves. We use the old recipe books back from the 17th century, from where we have found our daily recipes. Sometimes our bakers want to try out some fresh and trendy baked goods! Our cafe selection is a tasty variety of old fashioner, modernized and trendy delicacies.

Lunch is served every weekday from Monday to Friday from 11 am to 1:30 pm. Lunch includes fresh breads, starters, spreads, drinks, coffee or tea, as well as a main course and dessert from our own kitchen, with recipes from our own book of course. Come and taste!

Sweet dreams in unique boutique hotel

At the Tradehouse of Lang, we have seven individually decorated hotel rooms. Each room is dated back to the 19th century style, and owned to a historical person, who has really lived in our house. Each room tells a story behind it’s character! Would you like best the romantic room of Miss Sofia Franzen, or detailed Sea Captain’s hut, with bird paintigs, statues and a real antique bird cage?

In addition to a café, restaurant and party facilities, the Trade House of Lang`s services also include a shop and various experiences.

Have you already explored the maritime Raahe or been to Captain’s sauna? When visiting the Trade House, it is also worth taking a look at the shop. There you will find delicacies, souvenirs and products from the same port cities from which the Trade House’s sailing ships once brought them.

The Trade House of Lang has a colorful past and a lively present. If the walls of the trade house could tell stories about what they have seen over the centuries, we would hear about the Lang, Franzen and Sovelius families. Merchants and shopkeepers. How accommodation and trade were practiced in the house already in the 19th century, or what news the merchant fleet brought from its voyages. What about the lively present?
