WE ARRANGE THEMED DRAMA DINNERS FROM DIFFERENT ERAS
Trade House of Lang is a unique, cultural historically valuable place to visit along Pekka Square in Raahe. The building has been renovated carefully into its 1800s looks and the interior has been transferred into a café and restaurant, B&B as well as a shop.
The Trade House continues the 200-year-old tradition of trading and merchandise tellling the tales and stories of the old days and the characters who used to live here. Patron Johan Lang, one of the most important buisnessmen in Finland, had this property built after the fire of Raahe. Inside the building and in the courtyard you can get aquainted with the life of the house now and in the old days with the help of the Lady of the House, her husband, the Patron or one of the Maids.
Coffee and tea along with delicacies as well as luncheons are available throughout the year for groups. You can also add a guided walk in the Old Town or a cruise or a visit to the Museum to the program.
We work in co operation with local service producers. Please contact us for details!
The Lady of the House or her husband the Patron take you to trip along memory lane, all the way back to 1820..The Emperor of Russia, Alexander I, had visited Raahe the previous year and the Lady still had fond memories of the visit of this charmer who stayed next door in the Frieman house. The dramatic fire of Raahe, the everyday life and even the gossip become come to life when Lady and Patron start reminiscing. The music and of course the menu date back to those days.
We arrange these themed dinners occasionally, few times a year ! This can of course be booked for your group or you can follow our calendar for the upcoming events.
