Johan Lang and his Trade House had a big influence on Raahe and its everyday life. Merchants and especially the ladies of Franzén era have left a remarkable trace in the life of Raahe and even wider area. Merchant Johan Lang had the Lower Mansion built in 1811, just after the fire of Raahe, for real estate business purposes. There were two shops, a brewery, Captain ́s Room, Maid ́s room and overnight facilities for peasants and merchants who arrived into town for business and stables for their horses. The Trade House of Lang has been renovated carefully to its former glory. Welcome to enjoy live history!
